Our Environmental Health Specialists investigate reports of interactions between people and animals (wild & domestic) to help prevent the spread of diseases such as rabies. This includes both bite and non-bite incidents. We work with police departments in the North Shore to promptly investigate animal bites for potential rabies exposure. Our health department is responsible for assessing risks and providing guidance to protect your health.
